Reviews
This section will shortly contain brief reviews of applications which users have found to be useful, along with markers of those applications to steer clear of. The hoep is that reviews will be user-contributed, so as to build up a large and varied collection of reviews.
To submit a review of an application, simply email us with the following information:
- The full name of the application
- The company or author of the application
- The company/author's web site
- The license used (freeware, shareware, open source, commercial)
- Anywhere from one line to 500 words summarising what the application does, and how accessible/usable the application is with VoiceOver, and any useful work-arounds.
- And finally, a star-rating:
- Completely inaccessible/unusable
- A struggle to use; only use it if you have to
- Not great, but could cope with it
- Reasonably accessible, could make use of the majority of important functions
- Completely accessible, a role-model for all Mac apps!
- You should also specify whether you wish your name and/or email address to appear with your review.
Before submitting a review, please make sure that you are fairly familiar with the application, and that any problems you have encountered are not simply user error. Also, when giving an application a star rating, rate the application for its accessibility, not how good a program it is in general (this information can be found elsewhere on the net). These guidelines will help ensure that reviews are as useful as possible.
